The on board barrier has clean contacts, the resistances are indicated in the manuals for the central control unit or the input module used.

Yes, the transmitter can be wired up only with power; it should be remembered that in this way the yellow LED (both during alignment that in case of fault) will never go on on this unit.

Possibly the terminals of the Transmitter and Reflector are the wrong way round or incorrectly connected. Check if there is voltage between 17 and 20 V between the negative and the RRx terminal of the interface. If there is no voltage value, the barrier output barrier is damaged.

Check beam alignment and the sensitivity threshold set are correct. The alarm condition with filter A can only be obtained with the factory set default sensitivity threshold. Follow the instructions on filter use in the user’s manual for the STF4.

The switching of the alarm relay only occurs when the LED on the barrier is flashing red. Normally the alarm check time is about 15 seconds.

Check with the UTA or the ADM on the disturbance value using the Detector function. If the peak value reading on the detector is close to the threshold value, this should be increased so as to have at least 400 divisions more than the interference value read. The problems of false alarm can also be caused by direct sunlight on the receiver. In this case, if the two units are both connected to the interface, it is possible to reverse Tx and Rx so that the receiving unit is on the side less exposed to the sun’s rays. If the receiver unit cannot be moved or differently positioned, you can take diaphragm filters and / or sun filters according to the operating distance, contacting our technical department for a feasibility study and for the corresponding order numbers. Check that the barrier is not positioned perpendicularly to or very close to heat sources such as ovens or machines that produce hot fumes or steam. In these cases it is advisable to move the barrier to the right or to left of the source of the interference, offsetting it by at least 1 meter.

The detector must not in this case be placed in line with such pieces of equipment. If however they are located within the range of action of the detector or along its line, the minimum distance of the detector from these sources of interference must be at least 50 cm to the side.

Yes, the barrier reset must be done with the power to the barrier switched off for about two seconds.
